English Law by Smith and Keenan’s
This books really is essential reading, for those working in the English Property Market. It outlines and explains key property law with examples of case law to keep you in the loop. A good reference point to come back to time and time again. Although the law can change over time, it is a great source of reference. Covering Acts such as the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 which you will come across time and time again.
Property Valuation – The five methods
Valuation is one of the Mandatory topics in the APC and most Property Degrees. Key reading for any surveyor covering the five methods of Valuation Residual, Profits, DCR, Investment and Comparable method in detail with various examples for each method.
Parry’s Valuation and Investment Tables
This is one of the few timeless books in Property. Parry’s tables will assist you in those difficult valuations. Essential for valuations calculated without software such as Argus Developer and during exam time!
Urban Geography
Urban Geography is definitely not one for everyone. But if your course or job contains elements of planning, policy or urban development I highly recommend it.
